Word from the Committee

Welcome to the Aylmer Arts Council website, a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching and developing visual arts and crafts in the Outaouais region.

Founded in Aylmer in 1955, this organization is proud to offer arts and crafts classes, art events, workshops and other cultural activities in the region. The administration of the Aylmer Arts Council and the organization of all activities are done on a voluntary basis. We are infinitely grateful to those who give their time and thus contribute to the success of the organization. We are proud of the events organized and created by our volunteer members and committees that continue to impress us with their dedication and many talents.

The examples are numerous. The annual spring exhibition is among them, it captivates by the varied techniques and creativity of the members. This is just one of the moments in the year when visual arts and craftsmen come together to offer you an enjoyable experience.

What's better than starting each summer with the thematic exhibition at the Old Aylmer Cultural Center. An excellent exhibition organized by our members and guided by a selection committee. Regardless of the theme, our members always manage to surprise and amaze visitors with their imagination and inventiveness. This exhibition distinguishes itself by the diversity of styles and the vibrant talents of the regional artists.

During the summer, we are also present at the Vieux-Aylmer public market, where artists present their works or offer different types of workshops to share their artistic knowledge with young families.

If, like us, you wish to participate in the artistic life of the Outaouais and contribute to its growth, do not hesitate to join our community of artists and artisans.
